end of poverty by 2040?
on dis channel CNN, i watched dis interview which made feel laugh........haha
our finance minister, p. chidambaram (totally clad in white dhotis), was sitting wid a british correspondent who was talkin bout da economic development of india. our FM was so proud 2 tell bout da statistics n dat india was da 3rd fastest growin economy in da wrld n so on.........but wen da corr. asked dis ques. "what do u think bout da indian poor?", he kept thinkin 4 sumtime n den he said wid confidence " i think v can end poverty in india by 2040". dis made me laugh like hell.
dat means its another 3 decades b4 a poor person can finally hav a 2 time meal in a day? wat makes him feel proud by sayin 2040? he may not even live by then! y isnt he doin netin now? n den dey cant give da reason bout population cz even china is doin sumthin.
dont know wen dis country is gonna get rid frm poverty but i can say dat its neva gonna get rid fm politics!
